First of all, I am going
to tell my feelings about the type of chess called bullet or flash chess.
This type of chess is 1 minute for each side to finish the whole chess
game. For those who say it is bad for your game, get a life. I think
for people under 1400, they're either too slow or missing major tactics.
this game will speed you up if you can take your lumps of losses. Like
anything if you can't take losses, do not play and try something slower.
The only time I would recommend not playing this type of chess
is if you're hanging more pieces in your slow games, or coming close
to having a heart attack trying to beat forfeits on time. This may sound
funny but I have had a couple of IM's have them so its possible. So
if you feel you can physically move your fingers faster, and are ready
for a mental sensation, try 1 minute chess. Maybe in future articles
I will talk about 2 minute chess, but really I will be the first to
admit it's a slow, mouse slip man's way version to real bullet chess.
So since I think this type of chess is fun and most popular on ICC,
I will help you get better at it if you choose this form of action.
